What Can Stop My Marriage Restoration?

Because I don’t want you to miss the Lord’s blessings, I decided to write this article. First, we’ll look at the components that get in the way of your miracle. It’s important to know that God wants to bless his children.

Deuteronomy 28:1-68

“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

What is the requirement to receive his promises? First, we must faithfully obey his voice. Next, we are careful to do all he commands us to do.

Obedience To The Lord

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

We must hear the voice of our Shepard if we’re to follow him. But, unfortunately, there are so many voices in the world today. We have the internet, friend’s opinions, the voice of the enemy, and much more. The mark of a true believer is that we hear his voice, and obey him.

1 Samuel 15:22

And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

Learn how to hear God’s voice by reading a recent article I posted.

We must surrender all desires while approaching the Lord for direction. A made-up mind will never hear the voice of God. His word says he resists the proud but gives grace (favor) to the humble. Set apart a day to fast and ask God for direction. Keep an open mind to his answer and seek him daily and he will make his paths known to you.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Not Forgiving

Unforgiveness is a major miracle blocker. Therefore, I urge you to forgive all who’ve sinned against you as you wait on the Lord.

Matthew 6:14–15 says, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

God hands us over to the enemy if we don’t forgive. He refers to them as the tormentors. They’re to assist the enemy in taking things that belong to us. It gives the enemy legal rights to torment and get involved in your affairs when you don’t forgive.

Matthew 18:32-35

Then his Lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me: Should you not have also had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you? And his Lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

You can pray until you’re blue in the face, but as long as you hold onto bitterness, you’ll remain in the hands of the enemy. So forgive not, and you’ll not be forgiven.

Unconfessed Sin

Proverbs 28:13

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

If you’re waiting for a miracle from above, it may be a good idea to do the things that’ll allow you to prosper. I can’t think of a better time in my life that I need God’s mercy! Notice: Proverbs says if you conceal sin, YOU WILL NOT PROSPER! But, prosper with what? I believe it’s whatever God has for us. In this case, restoration!

You Haven’t Asked/Or Ask Without Faith

Here’s one reason you haven’t received a miracle. You haven’t asked God for restoration. Maybe you did ask but failed to have faith at the time you requested. His word says you have not because you have not asked. As simple as this is, ask him!

Many of us believe that faith says, “I believe this will happen in the future,” but my friends, that’s not how faith works. So let me show you a secret about faith.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Believe that you’ve received them!!! Not that you will sometime soon or that one day it will happen! Faith is right now! Faith is for this very moment!! Therefore, when you pray, you must believe you received it already!

Asking With The Wrong Motives

The reason we ask for anything is to bring God glory. Nothing else will work! All good things are a gift from the father and given to bring glory to his name. Check your motives!

James 4:3

You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

If the whole reason you’re standing is to get someone back. I’m afraid you’re missing the point of being a Christian. This isn’t about us! When our spouse comes home, the name of Jesus can be exalted, and through this, he will receive all glory! Don’t make mere humans an Idol! Marriage is just for this life and not eternal! We must never treat marriage like a god.

God’s Timing

During the process of purification, the Lord is changing not only the prodigal but also us. This process takes time, my friends. I have said this many times but will repeat it. What if God brought the floods before the ark was finished? Some try manipulation, which leads to a false start. For example, you may date someone for the sake of bringing certain emotions to your spouse in the order they come home from jealousy. Anything short of God’s plan is from the enemy and will fail! We must be patient as we wait on God’s kindness to lead them to repent. Waiting will assure total marriage restoration that will last a lifetime.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Psalm 27:13-14

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Lamentations 3:25

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

He Wants You To Be Persistent

Daniel was waiting on the Lord to come to speak to him. So he fasted and prayed for 21 days before the angel came to him. Unfortunately, the angel was delayed as he was caught in a battle with the Prince Of Persia. Because Daniel kept praying, God’s kingdom kept advancing. As a result, Micheal, the archangel, was sent to help Gabriel get freed from the Prince Of Persia, and he finally made it to David. We must be persistent in praying! The word of God says to pray without seizing! Let’s look at the parable of the persistent widow.

Luke 18:1-8

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ”

Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

Here is a summary.

Obey the Lord, confess your sins, ask him with faith, and be sure your motives are right. (TO GLORIFY GOD) Understanding God’s timing is vital, and longsuffering comes with it. Finally, be persistent in your prayers! Let us always first seek God and all his glory. If we do what he calls us to do, we won’t live in fear and constantly worry about missing out on the things he promises us. I trust this article helped you and hope it will bless you and thank you for reading What Can Stop My Marriage Restoration.
